That’s why we started the government-regulated Giselle’s School of Aesthetics to teach the same brand of pampering you’ve come to expect from Giselle’s. And we try to hire our best graduates!

Giselle's Professional Skin Care & Spas was founded in the 70's by Gisela Roeder, a respected guru in the field of natural beauty methods and European esthetic techniques.
Born and raised in Winnipeg Daphne Petrakos pursued a successful management career with international retailers and corporations before purchasing the company from Gisela Roeder.
She has been the sole proprietor of Giselle's for over twenty years.
Giselle's has become well known for the gracious environment, our level of expertise, strict hygiene and the policy of satisfying each and every customer.
The original salon on Grosvenor (now closed) employed only 4 estheticians offering limited services. Two expansions (1987 & 1999) in Portage Place led to the 4000 sq. ft. City Spa. Another two expansions (1999 & 2001) in St. Vital further enhanced Giselle's service capabilities with the popular Giselle's Day Spa and The Zone.
Daphne Petrakos was honored twice during the 2004 Manitoba Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. In addition to Overall Excellence Daphne received Lifetime Achievement Award.
