Fall

Fall weather sends us back to closed in shoes, hosiery, and socks so take a moment to consider the health of your feet.

Closed in shoes, hosiery, and socks can lead to hot, perspiring feet creating embarrassing foot odour and a perfect situation for Athletes foot. When possible where natural fibre socks - a wool blend, cotton or silk. These will allow skin to breathe and stay dry. Nylon and synthetic fibres do not allow skin to breathe, feet stay wet and this allows a perfect situation for bacteria. Help keep feet and shoes fresh by adding a foot powder.

Recommended product:

Gewhwol - Fuss Puder This disinfecting powder active ingredients that absorb perspiration keep feet fry, supple and odourless. Prevents athletes foot can be used directly on feet or in shoes.

The arrival of cool weather doesn't reduce the ability of harmful UVA and UVB rays to damage your skin.

Even though you do not feel the heat from the sun in the fall the UVB and UVA are still being absorbed by your skin. The day-to-day exposure of the suns rays in warm or cool weather is damaging to the skin's cells. Continual exposure can cause pre-mature aging, hyper pigmentation problems and other skin disorders. Estheticians, dermatologist and physicians recommend sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15.

Take action this Fall to target the leather look by boosting cell renewal.

Our skin's natural mechanism for protection from the suns harmful rays is to produce melanoma cells which rise to the skin's surface to create a tan. Over a period of time skin will appear thicker, drier, and duller. Freckles and hyper pigmentation are additional effects of exposure to the sun. Exfoliation to remove dead keratinized skin cells can be accomplished by using scrubs, loofas, or dry brushing. The absence dead keratinized skin cells will boost skin cell renewal... bringing fresh nutrients to the skin's surface that promote healthier glowing skin, increase circulation, and allow your skin to breath better.

It's time to evaluate the ingredients in your body lotion.

After a summer of sun be sure to use creams with Anti-Oxidants containing vitamin A E and C to promote a natural healing of the skin and protect against the action of pre-radicals on the skin. For optimal absorption leaving the skin feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated remember to first exfoliate the dead keratinized skin cells. Boost your moisturizing effects by adding plant and aromatherapy oils to your cream. Wheat germ oil is extra soothing to the skin and has added anti-oxidant effects while Lavender, which is also healing is soothing to all skin types.
